For this collection, Arnaud reflects on some of the most successful acts in music to explore the beauty of the creative process, taking the rhythms of the music and translating them into paint movement, recreating the emotional work of the music on the canvas. Arnaud explores the textures, colors and moods she’s left with while listening to these legendary rock stars’ music, and studying their lives and legacies.

Among the new works on view are large scale paintings and horizontal diptyques whose complex relationship to the viewer’s eye culminates in an intricate dance between Arnaud’s emotive strokes and the responses they provoke. In varied ways, Arnaud‘s paintings pulse with emotional expressions and the desire to find meaning in chaotic conditions. While awareness of such states can engender a loss of control, Arnaud recognizes that they are also responsible for passion, beauty and harmony.
