VISIONS is an exhibition that delves into the diverse facets of contemporary society, focusing on the evolving nature of social, physical, and cultural identities. In our daily lives, we constantly navigate multiple identities and roles. We engage with the public sphere, shaping and adapting our social personas; our bodies and aesthetic preferences are shaped and reshaped by our physical and sexual identities. In response to this theme, my contribution reflects my belief that authenticity is the key to a better world. I believe that if each of us took the time to understand our roots, our past, and engaged in the therapeutic work necessary to truly know ourselves—accepting our traumas, family history, both the light and the dark—then each of us could become a better version of ourselves. My artistic response to the show is a handmade painted canvas, a raw and emotional representation of love, passion, alignment, and connection to the universe. It captures the trance-like state I experience when I tap into deep emotional states, creating a reflection of the power and beauty of embracing our true selves.
